Well i don't know what to write! but we are now getting ready for our cultural breakfast. Which means we are going to feed our whole class and decorate " Zambia style" and tell them about Zambia and what we are going to be doing there. This also includes making a team video. it will be interesting! we also get to dress up. We are very excited!
Right now we are suppose to be working on all of that, but ...... we are getting distracted. Sam and I are goofing off, and every one else is painting, every intently so. It is quite funny!
Well I had better go help. God bless.

community service project

hey, so we are now in our second week of mission term. every week we have three half days because on each of those days we, as a team, are supposed to do one of three things. one day we are to do a group community service project, two we are to do a group evangelistic project, and three we are to have personal growth time. so yesterday we set out for our first community service project. we went to a place called family promise. this organization takes in homeless families that are trying to get back on their feet. they have about 12 supporting churches that house these families at night. during the day they can go to family promises hope house, here they can watch tv, do laundry, take showers, and meet with a case worker. so we got to the hope house and started cleaning. and i'm not just talking about sweeping and vacuuming, i'm talking about scrubbing base boards, cleaning their bathrooms, cleaning out their refrigerator, organize everything, and dust. it was honestly one of the most fun and humbling experience i've had a in a while. it was so much fun to be able to just do something nice for these families. i made a short video with the pictures from yesterday... enjoy. sam.

aimazing race...

So this week when we got back from vacation we had mission term orientation. Among some crazy things that happened, one thing we did was called the aimazing race. If any of you have ever seen the amazing race on tv, you kind of get the gist of what it was about. We got our first clue and were off. unlike the show on tv, we weren't allowed to use our vehicles, we had to either walk or use public transportation. The whole point of this exercise was for team bonding. As exhausting as it all was, i think we had a great time!
